Method and system for determining data transmission format in state transfer process

The invention provides a method and a system for determining a data transmission format in a state transfer process. In the invention, after being transferred from a first radio resource control (RRC) connection state to a second RRC connection state, a terminal sends an enhance random access uplink control channel (E-RUCCH) which carries indication information corresponding to the second RRC connection state to a base station or transmits a dedicated uplink physical channel corresponding to the second RRC connection state to the base station to inform the base station of adopting a data transmission format corresponding to a second RRC connection state for the terminal, wherein each of the first RRC connection state and the second RRC connection state may be a cell dedicated channel (CELL-DCH) state, an enhanced cell forward access channel (CELL-FACH) STATE, an enhanced cell paging channel (CELL-CH) state and an enhanced UTRAN registration area paging channel (URA-PCH) state.
