The invention provides a method for protecting data in an unstructured supplementary data service, which comprises the following steps: a network entity sends and caches service data based on a service conversation, and simultaneously monitors the occurrence of abnormity of a network; and in case of abnormity of the network, the network state is monitored again in a preset period. The invention also provides a network entity. When the network entity and the method for protecting the data in the unstructured supplementary data service are in use, the network entity can store the service data based on the network state and monitors the network state in real time instead of losing the current service data in case of the abnormity of the network; when the network recovers, the network entity can continuously sends the stored service data to the next-level network entity; and when the network can not recover in a short time, the network entity can store the current service conversation state to a buffer area.
