Cathode active material of lead-acid battery for UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)

The invention discloses a cathode active material of a lead-acid battery for UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), which mainly comprises lead powder, polypropylene fiber, sulfuric acid and deionized water. The cathode active material has the improvement that the lead powder is a mixture of free lead, lead oxide and lead dioxide, and the concentration of the sulfuric acid is 1.25-1.30 g/ml; diantimony trioxide and carbon fiber are added into the material; all components are mixed according to reasonable and standard content ranges to obtain sticky lead plaster, and the apparent density is 4.10-4.45 g/cm . The active material has great bonding force, high utilization ratio and good electrical conductivity; when used for manufacturing lead-acid batteries for UPS, the active material can obviously increase the charge acceptance, the high-current starting discharge performance and the deep cycle life of the batteries.
