Device arranged on spinning room preparation machine for setting work gap

A lateral holding device 19a for the roller of a spinning room preparation machine and at least one associated setting bend 34a are in the form of a one-piece component, preferably by casting and/ or machining from solid. Through-openings 43a-e in or between which there are arranged flexible positioning elements 44a-d for the setting bend are located between the holding device 19a and setting bend 34a. The nip between components carried by the bend and the clothing carried by the roller may be adjusted by positioning devices 36I-IVextending between the setting bend 34a and a flange 19' of the holding device 19a. The positioning devices may be threaded spindles 36I-IVpreferably extending through openings in the flexible elements 44a-d, or may be thermally expandable metal bar. The flexible elements are preferably arranged symmetrically and may be in the form of a leaf spring having a thickness less than its width or may be arranged in a meandering or serpentine pattern.
