The invention provides a phone and method for controlling a touch panel thereof. According to one embodiment of the invention, the phone comprises a touch panel and a controller, when an interrupt signal is received, the touch panel is operated to switch from a first user interface to a second user interface, wherein, after a dialing icon of the first user interface had been tapped, the display of the first user interface can be kept by the controlling until the interrupt signal is detected. By using the invention, a user dials, then directly dials an extension telephone or follows the guide of a voice service system without switching the user interface, the method is convenient for the voice service system and the operation of the user, and the mis-operation in the calling process due to the accidental touch of the touch panel can be prevented.
