Specifically disclosed is a fuel cell comprising a polymer electrolyte membrane, a pair of catalyst electrodes, and a pair of metal separators. An air electrode separator (700) has an oxidizing gas channel (714) for supplying an oxidizing gas to a catalyst electrode. The oxidizing gas channel (714) is formed so that a channel portion near an oxidizing gas supply manifold (710) and another channelportion near an oxidizing gas discharge manifold (712) sit next to each other in the same plane, while having a meandering or spiral shape. |
