The learning type infrared remote control device comprises a receiving unit, a processing unit and a transmitting unit. The receiving unit is used for receiving infrared signals with different frequencies, modulating the infrared signals to obtain a digital sequence and acquiring carrier wave frequency information of the infrared signals. The processing unit is used for receiving and storing the digital sequence from the receiving unit, storing the carrier wave frequency information and the relationship between the digital sequence and the carrier wave frequency information, transmitting the digital sequence to the transmitting unit and generating control information according to the carrier wave frequency information corresponding to the digital sequence.
