The solution of the present invention is that the depth size of footboard (10) is made as less than three times of the diameter of the traveling wheel (11) supported by an axial support on the footboard (10). A flexible body (36) serves as the power transmission between the reduction gear (30) of the drive (27) and an electric motor (29). The power sprocket (26) which is driven by the drive (27), the reduction gear (30) and the electric motor (29) are arranged according to the longitudinal direction of framework body (3) of the passenger conveyer as seeing from the top. |
