Method and system for tracking vehicle based on intelligent video identification technology

The invention provides a method and a system for tracking a vehicle based on an intelligent video identification technology. A video image of a vehicle is obtained when a virtual coil is triggered by the vehicle, a vehicle template therein is extracted and stored in a memorizer, then a vehicle video image of a next frame is obtained and a vehicle template therein is extracted, the two vehicle templates are matched, and when the result shows that the two vehicle templates are matched, a camera is controlled to rotate so that the vehicle is always positioned in the central position of the video image. The vehicle tracking technology can perform continuous monitoring to the vehicle by using less cameras without losing the target, ensures the continuity of tracking and also ensures the accuracy of tracking by comparing the vehicle templates.
