Zusammenfassung:To provide a multilayer sliding member, suitable for use in high-temperature applications where lubricating oils or synthetic resins are not usable, and a method for manufacturing the same, by solving a problem involved in a conventional sliding sheet material, intended for use in a high-temperature range, comprising a metallic mesh material, such as an expanded metal or a metallic mesh, and an expanded graphite integrated with each other, that the strength is poor for use in bearing or other sliding member applications and, consequently, the range of use is limited.
