The invention discloses an automatic star-finding controller of a box type satellite antenna, comprising a controller which is provided with a global positioning satellite system and an electronic compass. The controller is provided with a main control panel, which is connected with a direct current motor driver by cables, connected with a satellite signal detecting module by a serial port, connected with a limit switch by cables and connected with the global positioning satellite system and the electronic compass by serial data cables. The direct current motor driver is also connected with a relay by cables; the relay is connected with a pitching direct current motor and an azimuth direct current motor by cables; and the pitching direct current motor and the azimuth direct current motor are started and stopped by the relay under the control of the direct current motor driver.
