Zusammenfassung:	The invention concerns a method and a telecommunication network, comprising agents (NE), managers (EM) for configuring agents (NE), and at least one central directory service element (CDS) with a store for storing information about these agents (NE) and these managers (EM), which information is at least partly used in case of a further agent (NE) or manager (EM) being inserted into the telecommunication network. The central directory service element (CDS) can use an object model and it can support a handshake mechanism for enabling communication between a agent (NE) and manager (EM) in case of a new agent (NE) or manager (EM) in the telecommunication network.
