The present invention discloses a liquid crystal display which can be switched between wide viewing angle and narrow viewing angle in a tetrad segregation type pixel structure comprising white subpixel. The liquid crystal display comprises the following components: a plurality of tetrad segregation type pixels which respectively comprises R subpixels, G subpixels, B subpixels and W subpixels; and a plurality of light shielding patterns which are installed on the W subpixels and used for guiding the light from the W subpixels to the side visual angle; wherein the W subpixels are respectively fixed at the specific positions of the tetrad segregation type pixel. Furthermore the R subpixels, G subpixels and B subpixels have different arrangement to each of tetrad segregation type pixels which are adjacent horizontally or vertically to one another.
