The invention discloses a method for obtaining user data in a home location register, which comprises gathering binary data base documents from the home location register, establishing association for the gathered binary data base documents based on the pre-analyzed data base document relationship in the home location register, confirming binary data information of each user according to the association relationships among the binary data base documents, and converting the confirmed binary data information of each user into text data information. The invention further correspondingly proposes a device for obtaining user data in the home location register. The invention can improve the efficiency of obtaining data from the home location register, and leads obtained data to be consistent with the data which are stored by the home location register at current as much as possible.
