Television system and video processing method therefor

The invention relates to a video processing method which is used in a television system. The method is as follows: video decoding treatment is carried out on a received incoming video signal; after video decoding treatment, de-alternizer treatment is carried out on the video signal which is treated by video decoding, and then a rest or relative rest image signal is generated; after de-alternizer treatment, the video signal which is treated by de-alternizer treatment and the rest or relative rest image signal are composited so as to generate a composite signal; the image is displayed according to the composite signal to cause that screen display control information (OSD) is always presented on the top layer of a display frame of a display panel.
