Method and system for implementing automatically distributing EID when base station opening

The invention provides a method for automatically dispensing EID when base station is first available. The method comprises: after base station start, the base station transmits request message containing special filed of the base station to wireless network controller RNC; the RNC receives the request message and then judges if the base station is first available, if so, then looks up preset mapping table according to special filed of the base station in request message, acquires EID of the base station, returns answer message containing the base station EID to the base station; the mapping table indicates the relationship between special field of the base station and base station EID; the base station receives the answer message, then sets the EID according to EID in answer message.
