Zusammenfassung:	A system for regulating the position of the chassis (2) of a motor vehicle has actuators which are to be set by means of actuating signals of a regulating and control unit, wherein the position of the chassis or of a part of the chassis is measured by means of a distance sensor (4), and an adjustment is carried out by means of the actuators if the measured sensor signals of the distance sensor deviate from predefined nominal values. Arranged on the vehicle underside, at at least three spaced-apart positions, is in each case one path-measuring sensor arrangement (3) having a non-contact distance sensor, by means of which at least two path measurements in different directions (5, 6, 7) can be carried out, wherein the sensor arrangement (3) is arranged near a wheel, and each wheel is provided with the sensor arrangement (3), in which the distance between the chassis (2) and the ground (8), and/or the distance between the chassis (2) and a wheel rim (9) can be obtained through each distance sensor (4).
