Body composition meter enabling the recognition of body parts used in computing components of the composition

A body composition meter for measuring the body composition of the whole body of a subject which comprises a detecting section (11) for detecting a plural number of potential differences among body parts including the whole body, both hands and both feet with the use of electrodes for hands and electrodes for feet, first and second body composition computing sections (103, 105) for computing the body composition of the whole body based on at lest one of the potential differences detected by the detection section (11) and the physical data of the subject, and an indicating section (108) for indicating the data relating to the body part the potential difference at which is employed in computing the body composition of the whole body.
