Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display apparatus. By means of improving the sealing quality of an insulation film between a pair of electrodes, the liquid crystal display apparatus is to improve the display quality. In the liquid crystal display apparatus, the liquid crystal display is hold by a pair of substrates opposing each other, and a pair of electrodes for driving the liquid crystal layer is arranged on one of the substrates separated by a FFS insulating layer. The element substrate (10) for forming the substrate includes a transmittance substrate (8), a pixel TFT (20) forming on the transmittance substrate, a passivating film (28), a flat film (40), a pixel electrode (42), a FFS insulation film (44) and a common electrode (46). The compression stress of the FFS insulation film (44) forming between the pixel electrode (42) and the common electrode (46) is the range of 0 to 5*10 N/cm .
