Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a method for constructing a tailings dam, which particularly relates to a method that is applicable to the construction of red mud dams by a sinter method. The invention adopts a hydraulic fill method and the sinter method to construct a red mud dam (1) layer by layer, along with the raising of the red mud dam (1), a draining seepage device (2) is arranged at the inside of the red mud dam (1) at intervals. In the invention, firstly, the red mud used in the sinter method is hydrated, and then the red mud dam is formed by a drainage consolidation method so that the method of the invention is characterized by security, reliability, simple construction and low cost.
