Zusammenfassung:An unleaded or low-lead free cutting brass alloy comprises the following components by weight percentages: 56.0-64.0% of Cu, 0-02.5% of Bi, 0-0.5% of Pb, 1.0-2.5% of Sn, 0.1-0.5% of Al, 0.05-0.2% of Zr, 0.1-0.5% of Ce and 0.5-2.5% of Si, and Zn. The unleaded brass alloy can be made into the required materials and/or parts by a casting method or by press working such as extrusion, rolling, forging, tension, and the like, after casting. The materials and parts obtained have over 500MPa ultimate tensile strength, and the cutting characteristic is approximating to that of lead brass.
