[MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] This arm rest (10) disposed on the side part of the seat back (20) of the seating seat (S) of a vehicle comprises an arm rest body (11) and a shaft member (12) holding the arm rest body (11) on the seat back (20) side. The arm rest body (11) is rotatably disposed on the side part of the seat back (20) through the shaft member (12). The shaft member (12) is disposed in the arm rest extendedly from a base side to a tip side at a predetermined angle (Theta 1) relative to the lateral horizontal axis (x) of the seating seat (S) to the rear side of the vehicle.
