A ratio [Ni(T)Co(S)/Ni(S)Co(T)] of an atomic ratio [Ni(T)/Co(T)] of Ni to Co as an average of the whole cathode active material to an atomic ratio [Ni(S)/Co(S)] of Ni to Co in the surface of the cathode active material is larger than a ratio [Mn(T)Co(S)/Mn(S)Co(T)] of an atomic ratio [Mn(T)/Co(T)] of Mn to Co as an average of the whole cathode active material to an atomic ratio [Mn(S)/Co(S)] of Mn to Co in the surface of the cathode active material.
