The present invention discloses a capacity enlarging method of memory database, comprising the following steps that a capacity enlarging time segment of a memory database is set, which ensures that the memory database can start conditional capacity enlarging operation only in the set time segment; the capacity enlarging operation orderly executes the following operation of setting the increment of the memory database needing capacity enlargement, initializing the parameter of the memory database, suspending the service provided to external by the memory database and load a datasheet of the database into a memory again to accomplish the capacity enlarging operation. As the method of the present invention adopts a mode that all the capacity enlarging operation of the memory database is executed in the time segment with the least user amount of a client service system, the whole system is in a steady state during the capacity enlargement of the memory database, and the operation of the system cannot be affected,
