The invention discloses a method for preventing dry-burning of a gas stove and the device thereof, which is a method realizes the automatic closing of a gas passage by a thermal coupler arranged on a combustor and by the control of a temperature limiter connected in series in a loop of a solenoid valve connected with the thermal coupler and fixed on a gas switch. The invention solves the problem that the gas passage of the gas stove can not close automatically when a cooker is dry burnt or when the temperature is extremely high in the flameout process of the prior art and realize the anti-dryburning function and increases the safety in use of the gas stove.
