Zusammenfassung:	A method for the local application of a diffusion aluminide coating, which comprises a part preparation step (10) of exposing the base material of a portion of a metal part (1) to be coated and imparting a desired roughness to the surface thereof, a slurry preparation step (12) of preparing a coating slurry containing a powder of an intermetallic compound (3) containing aluminum, a halogen active agent and a water-soluble organic binder, an application and drying step (14) of applying the coating slurry on a portion of the metal part, followed by drying, a packing step (16) of packing the resultant metal part into a heat-resistant container filled with an alumina powder, a diffusion treatment step (18) of holding the heat-resistant container at a high temperature in an inert atmosphere or a reducing atmosphere, to thereby diffuse aluminum to the above portion of the metal part, and a cleaning step (20) of taking out the metal part from the heat-resistant container and removing a scum present on the surface th
