Zusammenfassung:Without using a current collector of a special structure or a complicated welding method, it is possible to provide a sealed cell having a current collection structure having an excellent output characteristic with a low resistance by specifying the welding point between a lower current collection plate and a battery jar bottom to a particular position. In a sealed cell, a lower current collection plate (100) is arranged below an electrode group (70) having a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate and contained in a battery jar (60), wherein the lower surface of the lower current collection plate electrically connected to one electrode of the electrode group is welded to the inner surface of the battery jar bottom. The welding position (100-1) between the lower surface of the lower current collection plate and the inner surface of the battery jar bottom is positioned in a range outside the position (101) of the lower current collection plate corresponding to the position immediately below the end of a cap (80) arranged via a valve body at the central upper position of a cover (50). Moreover, the aforementioned welding position is positioned in a range defined by two coaxial circles: one apart from the center by 48% and the other apart from the center by 93% of the length from the center of the lower current collection plate to the outer circumference.
