Zusammenfassung:	This invention relates to apparatus and methods for producing three-dimensional objects and auxiliary systems used in conjunction with the aforementioned apparatus and methods. The apparatus and methods involve 3D printing and servicing of the equipment used in the associated 3D printer. Provided is a service station (16) having a discharge station (22), a cleaning station (29) and a capping station (24). A wiper (544, 81, 86) which may have a notch (82), a washing solution (92) may spray the nozzle plate, a splash guard (81), a vacuum source, are also provided. Methods of determining a condition of a printhead are provided, eg acquiring an operational parameter of the printhead, or counting droplets.
