Zusammenfassung:	A cavity back golf club head (14) having a bridge member (34) and a damping element (57) is disclosed. The bridge member (34) extends across a first rear cavity (32) connecting a heel (21) and a toe (23) of the golf club head (14) to control the trajectory of a golf ball. For the longer iron clubs, a damping element (57) extends from the sole portion (25) of the cavity back golf club head (14) to the bridge member (34) to define a second cavity to further influence the trajectory of the golf ball. For the shorter iron clubs, the damping element (57) extends from the top portion (24) of the cavity back golf club head (14) to the bridge member (34). The damping element (57) may reduce the vibration and sound of the golf club head (14) upon impact with a golf ball.
