Zusammenfassung:	An air purifier is characterized by comprising a cylindrical main body (2) wherein a plurality of air holes (12, 17) are formed in wall portions (6, 7, 8) surrounding an inner space (3) and a light-emitting device (4) arranged in the inner space for emitting light toward the inner surfaces of the wall portions. Such air purifier is further characterized in that the inner sides of the wall portions to be irradiated with light are composed of a porous formed body and the inner surface layer of the porous formed body supports a powder photocatalyst which causes a photocatalytic reaction when irradiated with light. Such air purifier enables to maximize the catalytic function of the supported photocatalyst through an extremely simple structure.
