Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a control device for an elevator capable of performing diagnosis operation in the state in which a passenger does not exist in a car in the control device for the elevator for automatically performing diagnosis operation after completion of control operation at an earthquake and recovered from operation-halt. The control device for the elevator is provided with a means for detecting existence of a passenger in the car during automatic diagnosis operation at an earthquake and a device for urging the passenger in the car to get off.
