Electronic charging terminal

PURPOSE: An ETC terminal for driving a battery for a long time is provided to reduce a driving period of the ETC terminal and restrain the power consumption by switching a manual mode and a sleep mode of low power consumption. CONSTITUTION: An ETC terminal includes a battery, and a starting switch in order to pay a toll by radio communication with a roadside machine set in a toll gate of a tollway. The battery(21) has a function of transferring to a sleep mode of low power consumption to accumulate the driving power. The starting switch(19) is used for returning the ETC terminal(1) from the sleep mode. The ETC terminal is transferred to the sleep mode at least either after the completion of payment of the toll or after the lapse of a predetermined period from depressing the starting switch.
