Press roller comprising a press shoe that is movably mounted on a support

Disclosed is a press roller comprising a press shoe (1) that is movably mounted on a support and a roller sleeve (7). Said press shoe (1) is provided with a supporting surface (6) upon which the inner surface (9) of the roller sleeve (7) rests. Two rows of oil supply points (12, 13) are disposed within the supporting surface (6) in the direction of movement of the roller sleeve (7). Said oil supply points (12, 13) are formed by openings (12, 13) in the supporting surface (6), within which inserts (16, 17) made of oil-permeable, wear-resistant material, e.g. sintered metal, are accommodated. The surface of the inserts (16, 17), which faces the roller sleeve (7), forms a continuous surface together with the supporting surface (6). The inserts (16, 17) allow a continuous sliding surface to be formed for the roller sleeve (7) without the recesses usually created by the openings, thereby preventing the roller sleeve (7) from deviating in said areas.
