The compositions comprising the Moutan root bark extract as an active ingredient of the present invention have superior bactericidal effects against bacteria including athlete's foot-causing pathogens, skin eczema-causing pathogens and skin flora, and fungi, and they can be easily and simply applied to medicines, cosmetics, or cleansing agents.
