Zusammenfassung: | Use of organo-modified polysiloxanes (I) as a release agent or a release agent component in melt granulation, is claimed. Use of organo-modified polysiloxanes of formula (R4-Si(R) 2-O-((Si)(R) 2-O) a-((Si)(R)(R1)-O) b-((Si)(R)(R2)-O) c-((Si)(R)(R3)-O) d-Si(R) 2-R4) (I) as a release agent or release agent component in the melt granulation, is claimed. Either a+b+c+d+2 : 20-210 preferably 40-60; or a : 15-205, preferably 35-45; b : 1-12, preferably 2-6; c : 1-12, preferably 2-6; and d : 1-12, preferably 2-6; R : aliphatic or aromatic 1-10C hydrocarbyl, preferably CH 3; R4 : R, R1, R2, or R3; R1-R3 : polyether moiety of formula (II); e : 3-11, preferably 3; f : 6-30, preferably 10-30; g : 0-15, preferably 0-10; h, i : 0-5; and R5 : CH 3, acetyl or H. Provided that: The molecular weight of (II) is greater than 200 g/mol, preferably greater than 400-2000 g/mol; the amount of ethylene oxide in the polyether is greater than 45 wt.%; the weight of ethylene oxide in the polyether R2 is at least 9 wt.% greater than the weight of ethylene oxide in the polyether R1 respectively, based on (II); and the groups of (II) are respectively constructed in statistic, gradient or block-wise manner.
