Zusammenfassung:	The container system may be used for holding fodder for animals or for a variety of other purposes. It incorporates a removable container vessel (7) resting on a base and covered with a two-piece swinging head (6). The two parts of the head are hinged on the same axis (5). On either side of the container there are foot pedals (2). When one or both of these pedals are depressed, a mechanism (1,3,4) swings the two parts of the lid down to expose the contents of the container.
