Zusammenfassung:The assembly to advance blowing tubes into a bath of molten metal, for the insertion of additives by a manipulator, retains the tubes within the manipulator while the tubes are extended by a mobile and non-static manual unit which is pressed to give a pressed bonding with an extension tube. Also claimed is a mobile manual unit to press an extension tube in place to advance the additive blowing tubes into the molten metal. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is for the addition of other materials into molten metal, such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon and the like. The operation is more rapid, and gives a controlled dosage of additives into the molten metal with only a short interruption of the smelting process while additives are inserted.
