Zusammenfassung: | The ends of two tubes to be connected are corrugated in cross section, and are connected by a ring formed by two flanged halves (11) also corrugated internally. The external surface (2) of each tube end (13) matches the corrugated internal surface (15) of each half. The corrugations are formed by helical threads. A tube (3) can incorporate axial reinforcing elements (7). The corrugated ends have helical reinforcements (4) of the same pitch as the corrugations. The internal surfaces (16) carry a wear resistant coating (17), which can be of electrically non conductive rubber or plastics with a Shore hardness between 35 to 60. The tubes can be of non conductive rubber or plastics and the flanged halves of a high strength light alloy. A sealing ring (8) is compressed between the flanges (14). |
