Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a plant growth regulator which contains, as active substance, an ammonium phosphonate of the general formula (I) < IMAGE > in which R represents a C1-4-alkyl group R represents a (C1-4-alkoxy)-(C1-4-alkyl) or a C6-20-alkyl group and R represents hydrogen or a C1-15-alkyl group, in an amount of 0.2 to 99.5 % by weight and solid or liquid carrier or filler and, if appropriate, other auxiliaries, preferably a surfactant and/or a tackifier, to form the remainder of up to 100 % by weight.
