A stop, in the form of two flaps (6, 7) is provided in the region of the slotted opening to prevent the screw (8) sliding out. For installation, the two halves (10, 20), which are placed on a pipe, are pivoted with respect to one another such that the screw (8) is inserted into the slot (11). The pipe clamp is now fixed by tightening the screw (8).
