Zusammenfassung: | An electrochemical detector (1) has a platinum electrode (2) and two further electrodes (3, 4) exposed to the water to be examined or to the aqueous solution. In conjunction with an automatic gain control amplifier (9), a program-control unit (15) serves to generate a series of pulses which act via the platinum electrode (2). At least one of the pulses of predetermined size serves to clean the surface of the platinum electrode (2) in order to obtain reproducible measurement results during the subsequent measurement pulses. The electrochemical method which can be carried out with this apparatus replaces the known chemical analytical methods, can be automated and requires only a fraction of the time needed previously, with adequate precision of the measurement results. |
