Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus for coating pharmaceutical tablets or the like with other material such as sugar or the like. The apparatus includes a cylindrical rotary drum in which the tablets are charged and tumbled, and at least one perforated area for ventilating hot gas or the like so as to dry the sugar coated on the tablets. The perforated area of the drum is covered by a baffle plate. The leading edge of the baffle plate is in contact with the inner surface of the drum, and the trailing edge of the baffle plate forms a ventilating opening through which the hot gas flows. The side edges of the baffle plate is provided with side plates. The ventilating opening is provided with a ventilating plate.
