Indolizine derivatives, process for their preparation and their therapeutic applications

The invention relates to new indolizine derivatives of the general formula < IMAGE > and to their non-toxic addition salts in which: R represents C1 to C8 alkyl, phenyl or phenyl substituted by one or two substituents selected from halogen atoms and from lower alkyl or lower alkoxy groups, X1 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, iodine, methyl or methoxy, A represents a group selected from: < IMAGE > in which X2 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, iodine, methyl or methoxy and X3 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, iodine or methyl, R1 represents methyl, ethyl, n-propyl or n-butyl, n represents an integer from 2 to 6 inclusive provided that, if X2 and X3 each represent H or CH3, X1 is other than H. The derivatives in question can be used in the treatment of certain pathological heart syndromes, in particular in the treatment of angina pectoris and of cardiac arrhythmias.
