Zusammenfassung:	The apparatus has a fluid reservoir (3) and a pressure generator by means of which the fluid can be pressurised. Connected to the reservoir is a blast pipe (4) having a trigger system which opens a valve. In order to be able to fire limited quantities of fluid in a deliberate manner over a range of more than only a few metres, a force store in the apparatus can be stressed by the trigger. The force store is initiated towards the end of the triggering movement and its movement is transmitted to the valve in order to open said valve. In the case of at least one operating mode of the trigger system, opening the valve initiates a timing element, and the closing movement of the valve is controlled by the timing element when its time interval elapses, irrespective of the position of the trigger. The apparatus is particularly suitable for police use of tear gas.
