Zusammenfassung:	The proposed process for the preparation of polydodecanamide or copolymers based thereon proposes melting omega -dodecalactam or a mixture thereof with amido-forming monomers and polymerising the resultant melt at a temperature of 180-320 DEG C in the presence of a catalyst and in the presence of a molecular weight regulator. According to the invention, the polymerisation is preceded by filtration of the resultant melt through a layer which contains first oxidised particles of omega -dodecalactam with an elemental oxygen content of 10-24% by weight.
