Zusammenfassung:	The cartridge filter for removing mechanical impurities from liquids and gases has chambers (1) containing filter cartridges (5), a pressure indicator (22) and a control unit (21). The chambers (1) are sealed by means of covers (7, 8) which have tubular connecting pipes (10, 11, 12) for performing the filtration and for cleaning the chambers (1). The filter cartridges are provided with perforated guides (4) and spring devices (6) for retaining the filter cartridges (5). The filter system furthermore contains adjustment mechanisms for the chambers (1) and covers (7, 8), and also a magazine with replacement device (15) for the filter cartridges (5). The filter system may be used in the lacquer, paint, foodstuffs, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, in machine-tool building and in the industrial thermal-energy and refrigeration sectors.
