Zusammenfassung:The 3-formylrifamycin SV derivatives have the general formula: where the group =N-R' represents substituted hydrazine or hydroxylamine radicals. The derivatives IIa' are prepared by condensation of 3-formylrifamycin SV with a nucleophilic hydrazine or hydroxylamine derivative having an NH2 group at high solvent concentrations. These compounds have a decreased hepatic toxicity and have a destructive action against mycobacterial forms resistant to rifamycin or significantly prolong the duration of the development of resistance, which makes possible their use in long-term tuberculosis treatment.
