Zusammenfassung:Substituted 2-benzyl-1-methylpyrrolidines of the formula I in which R is a nitro or amino group are pharmacologically active compounds. They display actions on the central nervous system, the blood pressure and the pain sensation of warm-blooded animals. They are prepared by nitration of 1-methyl-2-benzylpyrrolidine and, if appropriate, subsequent reduction of the 1-methyl-2-(4-nitrobenzyl) pyrrolidine obtained.
