Surgical suturing device for suturing organs with metal clips

The surgical suturing device comprises two clamps (1, 2) each including two clamping jaws (3, 4 and 5, 6, respectively). The abutment plane (I-I) of the clamping jaws (3 and 4, 5 and 6) extends at right angles to the abutment plane (II-II) of the clamps (1, 2). On the clamping jaws there are mounted clip magazines (9) having grooves (10) for metal clips, clip slides (11), female moulds (12) with milled recesses (13) for bending of the clips, and a gripping and holding device (14) for gripping and holding the walls of the organs to be sutured. The gripping and holding device (14) has adjustment bodies (15) with holding elements (16) retaining the walls of the organs. Notches for fixation of the adjustment bodies (15) in their front position, in which the holding elements (16) lie between the abutting surfaces (7) and at a distance from the abutting surfaces (8), and back notches (31) for fixation of the adjustment bodies (15) in their back position, in which the holding elements (16) lie at a distance from the abutting surfaces (7) and approximately in the abutting surfaces (8), are also mounted on the clamping jaws (3, 4, 5, 6). The suturing device is suitable for suturing the digestive organs end-to-end, end-to-side and side-to-side with a countersunk one-level or two-level suture.
