Zusammenfassung:The novel alkaloid of the vincamine type of the formula and acid addition salts thereof are prepared. This compound is obtained by subjecting either vincanol or epivincanol to a heat treatment, resulting in a dehydration. The compound of the formula I is converted into corresponding quaternary ammonium salts. The novel compounds can be used as haemodynamic agents.
